The Little Longton Book Exchange

From Longton and Proud CIC is a volunteer-led community organisation based in Longton, Stoke-on-Trent, focused on creating welcoming, inclusive spaces for local residents.

We run the Little Longton Book Exchange, a free community resource where people can take a book, donate a book, and access reading materials at no cost. The exchange helps to remove financial barriers, encourage reading for pleasure, and support wellbeing.

Alongside this, we offer a range of informal community activities including a weekly community lounge, coffee mornings, a book club, community jigsaw, ping pong tables, and a community piano. We also host and support wider community events throughout the year.

Our work aims to reduce isolation, support wellbeing, and bring people together in a safe, friendly and accessible environment.

We are proud to be building a stronger sense of community and pride in Longton.
