How can the Consumer Helpline help you?

The Consumer Helpline can help you with problems with goods and services. The helpline adviser can:

  • give you practical and impartial advice on how to resolve your consumer problem
  • tell you the law which applies to your situation
  • pass information about complaints on to Trading Standards (you can’t do this yourself)

They can also help you work out if something is a scam.

Please note that the Consumer Helpline does not offer face to face advice. The Consumer Helpline is based in several regional call centres which are not open to the public.
