Middleport Matters is a community organisation which aims to help make Middleport a safer, more welcoming and thriving place to be.
Our priorities:
- Empowering our neighbourhood to release its potential
- Bring people together and improve a sense of belonging
- Improve the built and natural environment and enhance the local reputation
We deliver and facilitate a variety of activities for all ages. Adult sessions include Tea & Toast social sessions, arts & crafts, light touch/short term support for individuals, wellbeing sessions & gender specific groups. Children & young people sessions include sports/active, arts & creative, gaming, & social youth clubs. For family groups, we have activities in the school holidays, toddler sessions, and events. We carry out regular litter picks and community improvements in Middleport, Longport and Dalehall, and work with partners and other local organisations to bring much needed services into the area.
