At Money Matters, we recognise that these challenges are common and can happen to anyone, regardless of their background or previous financial stability.
What help can we offer?
Financial inclusion Service -we will look at your current financial situation, including what money you have coming in and out. We will check if you are getting the correct benefits, allowances, and discretionary payments, and if you are eligible for any grants to help increase your income. We may also be able to advise you about ways of reducing your outgoings and learning budgeting skills to help you manage your money into the future.
Welfare Benefits Service we can help you identify what benefits you may be eligible for, and support you to set up benefit claims, including mandatory reconsiderations and appeals (capacity allowing) where you have been turned down.
Debt Advice Service – If you’re struggling to keep on top of bills and ongoing debts, have bailiffs or are facing eviction due to rent arrears, our qualified debt advisor may be able to advise and support you with getting short-term and long-term solutions in place, including Debt Relief Orders, bankruptcy, and repayment arrangements. All of our debt work is done under the umbrella of Community Money Advice and is regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority.
