Project 93

Project 93 provides free, confidential, person-centred counselling for people affected by LGBTQ+ issues and people living with (or affected by) HIV, across Stoke-on-Trent and wider Staffordshire.

Counselling offers a safe, non-judgmental space to explore identity, discrimination, stigma, relationships, anxiety, confidence and wellbeing. We support LGBTQ+ people, people questioning their gender or sexuality, and parents/carers who want help navigating a child’s or young person’s journey.

We also provide counselling for people living with HIV, including emotional support, coping strategies and help managing the impact of stigma.

Appointments are available in-person at our office at The Dudson Centre, Hanley, and we also offer online video counselling and telephone sessions where that is safer, more accessible, or simply preferred.

All counsellors are BACP registered and receive regular supervision. We take confidentiality seriously and work to high ethical standards.

How to access: self-refer online, or professionals/parents can refer via the relevant form: https://p93.org/referral/

We are not an emergency service. If you are in immediate danger call 999; for urgent emotional support contact the Samaritans on 116 123.
