The Sutton Trust Community Group is a registered charity situated in the heart of Abbey Hulton in Stoke-on-Trent. Our core mission is to empower individuals to realise their full potential and become valued members of their communities. We firmly believe that every individual has the right to lead a fulfilling and meaningful life, regardless of their background or circumstances.
At the core of our work is the running of the Betty Rushton Community Gardens, home to a thriving community centre and an inviting on-site garden. The gardens provides a peaceful environment where individuals can foster connections with nature, facilitating light exercise, encouraging participation in gardening activities, and nurturing the development of new skills.
In addition to our community garden, we organise a range of community events and celebrations, including the festive Christmas Light Switch On and an annual fireworks display. These events bring the community together and promote a profound sense of belonging among residents.
